Requirements
Must be over 60 years old for some program, over 55 years old for other programs.

 Advocacy
Supports family and caregivers, scam awareness and prevention, senior hunger and nutrition, benefit/resource assistance, legal services, elder abuse, Alzheimer's awareness/education, promotion of physical & mental health & well being, mobilizes resources to facilitate living at home, provides accessible transportation, advocates for access to social s ervices, and provides exploration of volunteer opportunities.


 Food Pantry
For ages 55 and older. 4th Tuesday of every month. Gleaner's truck is parked on Washington St across from the Old Major Hospital. Starts serving at 1 pm.

Restrictions
Need to bring photo ID and live in Shelby County


 Health and Wellness Services
Rock-Steady Boxing: Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:00 & 4:45, and Saturdays at 9:00 am
Geri-Fit: Free classes thaat include chair exercise, strength training, and muscle building. Tuesdays at 1 pm
Tai Chi Alumni: No cost/reservation required. Thursdays from 11 - 11:30 am
Walk with Ease: Meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 1 pm. Call for location.
Taking Off Pounds Sensibly - meets Tuesdays from 10 - 11 am. Membership costs $32 per year or $5 per month. First meeting is free.
Yoga: Chair Yoga on Mondays from 12:30 to 1 pm - $5. Regular Yoga Mondays at 1 pm - $5 fee
Bowling: Fridays at 12:30 at Blue River Bowl. $2 fee and $2.50 for shoes.





 Insurance Assistance (SHIP)
Free counseling program provided by the IN Dept of Insurance for Medicare. Helps answer questions about Medicare, Medicare Suppliment Insurance, Medicare Advantage, Medicare part D, long-term care financing options, prescription coverage, and low-income assistance.


 Legal Assistance
Paralegal Katie Coleman of the Senior Law Project is at Shelbyville location on the 2nd Wednesday of every month.


 ShelbyGo
Operates on a planned schedule, must call one week in advance to schedule appointment. Available to all residents of Shelby County with a $4 boarding fee.

Restrictions
No appointments after 3 pm


 Support Groups
For those with Dementia, Alzheimer's, disabilities. Once per month an options Counselor will offer confidential, one-on-one discussions concerning questions about available resources.
